Endorsements for Sandy Wegman

Chicago Tribune
Republican incumbent Sandy Wegman has an impressive record of ahead-of-the-curve online access to records. She has also been effective in paring expenses and consolidating services. She gets the nod over Democrat Brenda Rodgers, a real estate agent and substitute teacher from Elgin.
Daily Herald
After 12 years at the helm of the Kane County recorder of deeds office, it seems safe to say that Republican incumbent Sandy Wegman has the office in ship shape. Committed to transparency and, especially, technology, she has continually worked to upgrade the efficiency and customer-service appeal of an office that may rarely interact with the general public but where accuracy and accessibility of public records is a paramount objective. And she has plans under way to initiate even more technology innovations if she’s re-elected to a new term. All this while watching her staff decline by more than 40 percent. Wegman’s Democratic opponent, real estate agent Brenda Rodgers, is sincere and likable but lacks the background and management experience she would need in this office. Wegman is the clear choice.
Kane County Chronicle
As Kane County recorder, Sandy Wegman has taken on the challenge of running a fiscally responsible department. She cut the size of the office from 31 to 19 workers, and after consolidating some services, she gave back a floor of space to the county. In addition, her office has embraced technological advances through the years.
We endorse Wegman, a Republican from Elgin, for a fourth term in office.

"At this time of economic uncertainty, Sandy's proven dedication to fiscal responsibility and unwavering customer service is just what this county needs."
